You know, although I am no longer blogging using blogger (which is this blog you're reading now), I still log in all the time and check on the statistics of this former blog of mine. And I am pleased to know that somehow behind the scene, as I call it, that it is still running almost on full force. I have no idea what makes all the visitors stumbled upon this site, and most of them I might add are from overseas. I guess it was the tags that really helped a lot thus far. So I really appreciate your visit, be it intentionally or otherwise and I hope that all my old posts would not be to be too dull to held your persistence in reading.

You can and I will definitely be gratified however, if you do not mind taking your time in visiting my WordPress - a substitute of this site in which a new chapters begins.

When it is all said and done, what is next? For it is never-ending... If Iwere to sum up my high school life in words, what you it be like? I would notdare say 'to sum it all up' exactly, because I have another two months toendure and the most crucial part is yet to come. But at the same time, Ifelt almost spent, you know? I am so eager to start afresh. When I lookback at the days, there were not any major mistakes or experiences that I wishI could erase. And I am glad I could honestly say that aloud. There were aplethora of memories too of course, and all of it will remain as it is — warmand heartfelt. I certainly have grown too, up to quite an extent. We may allfeel really silly for some immature things that we have done in the past but thatis really part of developing into a mellower individual.

I remembered the old days; I used to sneak out during co-curricular activitieswith my crazy friends, bought novels and clothing online without the knowledgeof my parents, being so obsessed over some actors, dramas, movies and the listgoes on and on. There were also some emotional roller-coaster rides; I would beso heartbroken and depressed due to Roger and tennis and weeping for days for afriend. And surprisingly, I got over all these. I learned to let go andcomprehend that there are just so much more than just perceiving things fromthe surface. If you became someone so prone to overreactions and sensitive toall the negativity that people speculate and assume about you, you tend to findyourself living in misery. It is like you tell yourself time and time againthat everything will be all right after the nerves have gone, but the truth isthat it never disappears. It will not cease and it is only a matter of timethat it will consume you again. Self-confidence and complacency is reallyself-earned. And as for the Roger case, I have a different mindset towards thataspect entirely and to the sport itself now I could just solely write on thatanother time.

I am grateful to have a wonderful and supportive family, a friend or twothat I could lend my trust to to which definitely makes my life more profound;Roger forever being the inspirational force behind everything; and of courseall these will almost be impossible without the destiny of God. For manyreasons, I appreciated and totally have reflected on the ten days my parentsleft home during the end of August and beginning of this September forvacation. I had alone time and attained all the routines so well that I evenhad discovered new skills and gained further insights of independence. Youcould call it a very educational experience.

Of course at times in life we always wanted to be reckless, to have a momentor two of being less responsible. I do feel that now and then. I knew beforeending this part of my journey, I really would like to go out there and dosomething fun and crazy that is worth for remembrance in reminiscing those goodold days. These moments may even come in small pieces too. For instance, Iremember how I would become so absurd when it comes to Robsten... After the allimportant examination, the need to travel to a beautiful country and spend alltime with my family, taking in the beauty of nature and everything it has tooffer is crucial. I want to feel that sense of freedom and sweetness in the airbefore I begin the next leg of my life.

What will I want to do next? How does the path of college life appears like? Iguess these are mysteries that are waiting to be unraveled. We will come to seehow far it goes.

Dear Readers,

I decided it is finally the time to abandon this blog. Mostly for positive reasons... I will not delete this blog though, because it held so many memories for me and it certainly will be a reminiscence for me in the future. I already have a Wordpress on the other hand, one which I hope I could update frequently. It is a space for me to write what I really want to say aloud, so it's just going to be words, words and words. As for my photos I upload them to my Flickr so feel free to check it from time to time. My Wordpress link is pretty much the same as this blogger's link. Just without the dash (-) sign. See you all again in another episode of my life. Hello there! It's currently 1.56am and here I am just to upload and share a picture I just created! The 125th Championships.

Once again, the gates of the All England Lawn Tennis Club at Church Road SW19 open, welcomes and promises another season of spectacular tennis played on the lush green grass. The Wimbledon Championships is here! And it marks this year — The 125th CHAMPIONSHIPS. It will be another mesmerizing and exciting week of tennis for me, for everyone too of course. Regardless of what is going happen, I will just sit back and enjoy and embrace it all. I just wish I got a ticket pass to watch the matches live then and there itself! But first, an airplane ticket all the way to London... It's gonna be yet again a 2 weeks stretch in front of the TV, watching it on ESPN HD. My heart speaks avidity already.

"The first time I hit here on Monday, very easily, like right away after 10 minutes, it feels so natural for me to play on grass. I hope that feeling is going to pay off by going deep and then hopefully winning the tournament here."

What means the world to you?

Oh my goodness, look at what has been written on the clay!

It is past 1am and here I am writing this while waiting for a phone call. Congratulations to the now 6 times Roland Garros champion Rafael Nadal for winning (7-5 7-6 5-7 6-1) another Grand Slam title and equaling Bjorn Borg's record of 6 Roland Garros titles. Rafa - the King of Clay - is never for once an easy opponent especially on his favorite surface and I think we all as well as the world know that. Until now, no one has beaten Rafa on the red dirt in Paris except for Sweden's Robin Soderling in the year of 2009 semi finals. That was the year where Roger first won his French Open Grand Slam title beating Soderling in straights. This particular win again means a lot to Rafa and his team, mostly to Uncle Toni, not to forget his family members and of course all the Rafa fans out there! To all Roger fans, there is not a need to remain in the state of misery because Roger had indeed overcame a milestone. As I have said earlier, Roger remains a champion in all our hearts forever and more specifically to me he already won by beating Novak in the semis.

You just cannot escape from being the winner or looser. It has to go either way, right? Then what is it that really counts? It is the commitment to play every point. And being Roger, he does that all the time. I'm not saying that others have no such attempt but the difference stood out in him, you see. In this final, it was a waste and sadness for Roger not being able to get hold of that first set when he was clearly at such an advantage earlier but nevertheless he continued fighting and never gave up on hope although the unforced errors started to mount. He always tried to find an open door when one closes. And in doing so, although he made more errors but then he was all in finding and stimulating the spark of fire, to gain more confidence. Players do not give up on hope. Not till it is all over; they will fight for life. You will never know what happens. And that was why it meant so much to me that Roger was able to come back when he was down while Rafa leads 4-2, and in the end won that third set 7-5. The forth set ended rather much faster and Roger did not have the time to tackle and convert it back to his as Rafa had the early break and chance to serve first. Otherwise if we were to have a five set game, I'm sure it will be a very, very, very tight championship game played. Just like how Roger did all these while facing 2-0 sets down, managed to get back in the third and hold and eventually win the championship. Wimbledon is always the significant one in this case.

Luck sometimes really does matter. Regardless, I'm very happy that Roger's overall game had improved and I only wished him all the best in the upcoming grass court season. Who knows what will happen? Think about just playing your best tennis, Roger. And then at the end time will tell. Facing Rafa numerous times in such important occasions definitely meant something for Roger let alone on clay itself. At least I felt that Rafa deserved it after all and smiled and enjoyed the moments where he lifted the Coupe des Mousquetaires. Also the hug with Roger after the match, the speech he gave where he apologized all the time to Roger and the huge respect that they have for each other as rivals and close friends have known no boundaries.

Of course with my being so dedicated, I would be lying if I say that it was not emotional for me. But it wasn't bad like how it used to be in the early days. As the years pass, you really learn how to accept reality and learn to let go. I do not know why but in the second set I was a bit teary. The third set I was all pumped out, and when the match ended I was happy for Rafa honestly. But after the ceremony and they played back all the moments of Roger's wonderful two weeks this year's Roland Garros, I could not withstand anymore and started crying. Like I said again, so close yet so far away. But that would not do it. What really hit me was when I see the energy in Roger. The moment where he pointed his finger up and screamed with such ferocious determination in the semifinal match knocked me breathless. It was one of those moment of pure bliss. And that is again something that I will remember, never wanting to let it slipped pass in my memories. Treasured moments are precious and never forgotten.

Dear Roger,
It was heartbreaking to see the disappointment in your eyes at the end of the match yesterday but you can be well and truly proud of yourself and your performance at Roland Garros this year. I just keep telling myself after the match ended that it is gonna be all right and I really, truly yearn to go out there and give you tight bear hug telling you that it's okay. You have played outstanding tennis from start to finish and unfortunately in the final, you faced an opponent who seems to have to employ gamesmanship tactics in order to win against you. Your grace, dignity and incredible shot making are always a privilege to watch. Congratulations on an excellent tournament with a nearly perfect ending. Well done in the final even if you lost it. You played better against Rafa on clay than you have in a very long time. So your game is back on. I am certain that you will do very well for the rest of the season. I look forward to seeing you at Halle and Wimbledon. Reaching a final again after beating Novak was a great achievement in itself. I am very happy that you are feeling well and playing so well again and have but one wish for you: to stay healthy and happy, thus being allowed to play well and make everyone else happy as well. Thank you for everything you have given us all with your heart and soul, Roger. You are loved.

Best friends remain as best friends forever no matter how hard they fought time and time again on the court.

On the other hand, my whole family and especially myself was very happy for Li Na too!
She's has won her first Grand Slam title, also being the first Asian to do so.
This proves that Asians are way to go and especially China FTW :)

It's going to be another Fedal final affair!

It was another one of those moments where you would not want to forget in your life. But it was also one of those moments where I had to endure so much emotions, agitation and it was nothing but nerve-wrecking. Whenever I feel that Roger is so close but yet so far away... The gush of frustration when he did some silly errors but then again the feeling where you could not help or do anything. Then again, nobody's perfect. The thing that I could not put my finger on is how does Roger really controls his emotions mentally. He just kept staying so composed and cool which lefts us — the audience — pondering and wondering on every possibility. You just have to sit there calmly and absorb everything. Be it a positive or negative one. The pure taste of victory only started so sink in slowly after...

Nevertheless from the beginning of this Roland Garros Frech Open season, I had a very strong feeling that the all mighty Roger which is one of the greatest players of all time seriously can manage to overcome the currently best player — Serbian's Novak Djokovic. And I was right. Roger was beaten by Robin Soderling last year at Roland Garros and all these while he was just so close from that step. So close but yet so far away, I put it that way. All his hard work and effort and belief in himself will have to pay off. And it is only a matter of right time that he could prove it to all. Life is that way, isn't it? You either emerge as the winner or looser. And when you win, you get all the glory and glittering lights. But when you loose, people just criticize you. Success is not just about winning but hard work.

Nole has grown so much since last year, and that was when the world saw him gearing up and his records flying high. Having an unbeaten 41 streak of matches which was well, now broken by Roger, is definitely something not easy to achieve. But that's okay because he is already such a star quality and magnificent player. All in all, it's not just about winning but going out there and doing your best and giving it all and with the mercy of God who will determine it all.

However, I'm more interested in how Nole grow as a player. I remembered I was on of those fans who dislike him about less than 2 years ago. Back then whenever we see Nole play the thing that comes to your mind is that he is a hot-tempered guy who shouts frantically and throws and bangs his racket all over the place. It took one years just to get ones attitude right. And from that point onwards everything will slowly start to click almost effortlessly. Hence, that is what I acknowledge of Novak. Because ever since he has became such a better player, he do not "throw tantrums" anymore now, and he has matured and grew into someone stronger. A fighter which earns the respect of others. A player with more grace and better personality traits. He now respects his opponents so much like how he did when he played Roger in this semi final match. Whenever Roger hits a winner, he will smile and put his hands together with his racket and praise his opponent. When the linesmen called the ball out he immediately rectify it by telling the umpire that it is in because he was sure about it and we cannot blame the officials for tiny human errors as such. That is what I call fair play. Although Roger won his match against Novak, but there is also credit that still goes to Nole for his incredible performance.

Regardless of how the results will turn out on Sunday's final, to me Roger has already won. He have won the hearts of all the crowd out there. Of course it will be even better if he wins another Grand Slam title and make it to number 17 in total. Nevertheless, we as Roger's fans will continue to support him in all times.

Here is just a little bit more detail in terms of the stats :

Roger Federer proved his non-believers wrong and silenced his critics when he defeated Djokovic at his best in the semi-finals today, setting up a classic final against Rafael Nadal.

The match was definitely a first class display of tennis, filled with top notch rallies and superb shot-making from both players. The game started off pretty excitingly with both players breaking each other’s service games at the start. More breaks of serve were exchanged between the players in set 1 and it eventually went into a tie-breaker. Federer emerged the victor in the tie-break to take the 1st set after 70 mins!

Federer was on fire after that and raced into a 4-1 lead in the 2nd set in just 20mins! Djokovic fought back but only just, and Federer was able to hold on to his lead and win the 2nd set 6-3.

Djokovic looked like he found back his winning form when he bounced back in the 3rd set, taking it 6-3.

The 4th set was a thrilling one with both Federer and Djokovic holding serve and exchanging serve one for one. Just when it looked like a 5th set was inevitable - with Djokovic serving after breaking Federer in the 9th game to lead 5-4 - Federer responded strongly by stunning Djokovic with an immediate break back to level it at 5-5. Novak could only produce a defensive smile in response to mask the true disbelief and frustration he was feeling inside. The 4th set eventually went into a tie-breaker and Federer wrapped up the match with a classy and splendid ace down the middle - his 18th of the match :)

The third seed, Roger sends out a strong message with his win over Djokovic today - Don’t write him off just yet!

As I lay on the couch fumbling through some articles which I'd picked up and set aside and decided to read them as I always do from time to time every so often while browsing through the daily newspaper, I came across this article entitled 'Hardest Words'. The opening of the article caught my attention so I decided to read it till the very last line. I remembered I wasn't that awake and paying full attention because I was really sleepy during that afternoon and I just did what I was doing while waiting for the maid to be done with vacuuming my room.

Suddenly, who knew the next day when we sat for our English essay paper, I stared at the paper and saw the last choice of question which was:

Write a story about 'Saying Goodbye'.

Immediately I blamed myself for being so tired that time that I did not really managed to at least remember clearly three quarter of that article, especially the way of expressing it all. Nevertheless, I picked that topic and I wrote my own version of story but the utter most and basic point or I shall say theme is the same. And so after I got back home I re-read that article and felt even more agitated that I couldn't make a full use out of it. Besides given, how can such an coincidence happens so frequently? Opportunity knocks but once, right?

So since I thought that piece of article is meaningful and ought to be shared, I typed it out on Notepad and decided to post it up here. I just love the ending of this story because it really gives an impact on the readers. Plus the whole thing just suited the topic of the essay perfectly!

Her sobs, though stifled, were quite audible in the quiet of the night as we drove home. I had told myself not to cry as I wanted to be brave for the others but her heart-rending sobs brought tears to my eyes. I was glad it was dark inside the car.

My eldest daughter, Swee Wei, was the one crying. My wife, Sew Chin, and my two other daughters, Siu Wei and Wei Wei, had been unusually quiet. Everyone seemed to be lost in their own thoughts.

We were returning home after sending my eldest son, Kok Choon, off at the Taiping bus station. He was leaving for Singapore to study at one of the universities there. Everyone seemed cheerful at the bus station, even Wei Wei who is closest to him.

But in my heart, I knew that our small family would never be the same again, too. My son had left the nest and I knew that it was just the beginning. Soon, one by one, his sisters would leave, too, and my wife and I would be alone again.

I had dread this day for a long time. I did not want our tight-knit family to break up, but I know that my children have to grow up and go out into the world to find their own niche just as I had a long time ago. (I realize then how my parents must have felt when I left for Kuala Lumpur to further my studies; how my father must have felt as he stood on the platform of the Taiping railway station forlornly waving goodbye as my train pulled away. I was so excited about the new world opening up before me that I did not feel their heartache).

My dread became more acute when my son started Form Six. I knew then that in two short years, he would be leaving. I was flabbergasted when, within days after his Form Six exams, he and a few classmates wanted to leave for Singapore to work there temporarily. I was hoping that he would spend those few months at home with us but he was so excited about the trip. It was the first time he had left home for so long and we missed him badly.

The day that Kok Choon was born, I had rushed back from Kuala Terengganu where I was working that time, to the hospital in Taiping. The fact that I had become a father must have overwhelmed me. I was lost for words as I cradled the small bundle, wrapped in a towel, in my arms. It was sheer joy.

We spent the next two years in Kuala Terengganu and I can still recall our evening strolls on the beach at Pantai Batu Buruk on weekends and the way he would tear down the aisles, when we went shopping at the only supermarket there.

We watched television together at night and, when he became sleepy, he would climb onto my lap. I would then put my arms around him and he would soon be fast asleep.

After that, we came back to Taiping and he attended nursery school and kindergarten, before starting school at St. George’s Institution. Then it was a blur of sending him to tuition classes and extra-curricular activities, teaching him to cycle, packing him off to holiday camps, and worrying when he come home late.

But he has left the nest now and we cannot look after him anymore. I can only say a silent prayer to God to keep him safe.

My children have all left home. When they were studying, they would come back more often during the holidays but now that they are working, they only come back during the Chinese New Year.

I know that in time to come, they will get married and start their own families. Things will be different then.

My wife and I have gotten used to being on our own now. What I cannot get used to is saying goodbye after every visit.

Just how do I stop missing them?

Oh my god, this is saddening because those written transcripts are one of the best parts where you get to clearly read and comprehend every interview of players. And that's where you picked up lines and something extra and you will learn more about that certain someone. I wonder why this year they did not post up those transcripts! All it took was that one glimpse, that one moment and the pieces of memories clicked like a puzzle and the emotions all came rushing back, coursing through me and it went into spiral mode. To be honest, it was a mixed feeling of disappointment and sadness. Of course there was guilt too, for letting such precious and meaningful moments experienced slipped pass me since the beginning of the year. I knew of the consequences, but still I must admit that I took everything too lightly. It's known that one cannot rewind the past. But in a way I'm so, so glad. Glad that God has given me a test. A test which proved positivity. Most importantly, I felt inspired once again. The bond forged between us was not one that could be broken by absence, distance, or time. And no matter how much more special or beautiful or brilliant or perfect than every human you might be, I was as irreversibly altered as you were. As there is a place deep down my heart that would always belong to you, so would you always be mine. Your hold is permanent and unbreakable. Never doubt that. And I promise I will never doubt you ever again I swear.

It's been to long since I blog about this topic. And now here you go to make it up to myself. For you, for everything.

That is what I’ve been nowadays. That whole two weeks of studying for mid-term and the exams themselves really did tire me out. Ever since this week all I do is procrastinate and procrastinate and procrastinate. I guess it’s the thought that exams are nearly are done and I can’t do anything more to change my rankings/grades until trial comes. Now I just spend my days listing the things I want to do during the holidays. I want to go to the bookstore and get novels. I want to stay in bed all day watching movies/TV shows on my laptop. I want to spend my day reading magazines. I want to shop and not care about becoming broke. I want to go for outing with my friends. I want to go to downtown. I want to travel. And guess what? I’m here typing this because I have sheets and sheets of experiment reports next to me waiting to be memorized.

Hello, beautiful people. I'm already looking forward to the coming holidays. Yes, exam's not even officially over but I think almost everybody has started making plans and being all so excited over it. One of the things I'm gonna do right away will be painting my nails. And then we have MTV movie awards on 6th of June. Oh, for the love of all that's holy!

Well, if you ask me about this whole mid term going on all I can say is that I feel like I did quite bad. Again. "Misfortune(s)" often happen, and for me it occurred time and time again for Biology. I refuse to illustrate further on that fact so that's the end of it. All I can say is that I'm only pleased for my Physics paper two. I'm surprised myself that I need not rely on coffee to burn the midnight oil this time. Instead, I hit the sack rather early besides one Sunday due to Bio. This time, I settled for the all-disgusting chicken essence! Kudos to my mom for that. Right, drat...

This morning I had to wake up early to go to the temple since today is Wesak Day. Rise and shine early and having done something makes me feel good; it feels like you've extra time in your hands. Anyways, I even met my old primary classmate there. She came up to me and I was shocked that she even remembered me. After exchanging a few lines, I learned that she's at the temple doing some charity for the massive celebration. And also I could see that as she's wearing the official T-shirt. After praying, my sister and I both wrote our wishes on a tiny piece of paper which was fastened to a long bold red ribbon and we tied them along the bars along with all the other people's messages. The best part was having vegetarian later! Nom nom :)

I sneaked and bought Water for Elephants at Borders around two weeks ago. I did not thoroughly read the entire novel but I have finished it within 2 days. I definitely have to re-read it the next time. And as for yesterday I read True Believer by Nicholas Sparks. That is a kind of book which held many people's interest easily, including mine. Actually it belonged to my sister and because I was in her room last night I simply decided to flip the pages but who knows it captured my heart instantly and I read it till the end in 2 hours' time and I did shed some tears! But don't worry again as I started half way through the story after the whole exposition. Another got to re-read during the holidays.

All right, I will definitely update again during the holidays; more pictures of Mother's Day at One Hotel last weekend will be up as soon as possible. As for now, here are a few pictures I just snapped in less than a hour ago.

17 April 2011 is a day the world will never forget. Okay, well perhaps not the whole world... This day is especially dedicated to all the Robsten fans. Call me lame or whatever but hey you do not have a single valid reason to judge me or people in the same shoe who simply just like Robsten. I'm talking of mutual respect. Not for inspiration's sake or something more realistic or reliable in my case, but for entertainment and satisfaction. The power of attractiveness. I don't know what you call that scientifically? Let me figure out.

So who cares even if they don't admit that they are a pair? Don't blame them even if they act like they aren't a thing. Just be happy with what they had given us on that extraordinary day. Just that tiny act and by that one move he made proved almost everything, it had spoken a million words to all the fans worldwide. I'm just a loyal reader of the books, and somehow adore Robsten's chemistry. And after missing sometime of them being adorable together, the hype has finally revived again. Believe me or not, as I'm not 24/7 online, specifically Tumblr, do trust me if I dare say that I'm not aware of this phenomenon. I just knew about it in the assembly this morning from the eyes and ears of the other me. In conclusion, I'll say that I'm just very happy now although not to the state of euphoria...

May us all remember this day. That it'll remain forever in our hearts. At least for the remaining years to come.

It's not really about anyone else anymore. I can't really find the exact point it stopped being that way. But all I know is that it's about me. No one else but me and I'm living in the moment. And whatever happens, I'm going to make the most out of what life hands to me because that's what it is meant to be. I want this for me, and I'll own up to whatever feeling; calm and ready to embrace the following days with open arms.

I know I haven't been updating lately. So very sorry about that. There's nothing interesting that happened lately. Just the mundane days but probably more meaningful and well spent rather than appearing online every so often. I'm pretty sure you do notice I changed my blog layout. Yes, after such a long time. And so I thought I ought to at least update a post. Even so, the pictures here are taken quite some time ago and not something recent. Besides that, I guess there's nothing else so yea.

Today has been non-productive at all so to speak! I got home from school around 5pm. Feeling lethargic and tiring after having to stay back for singing competition. Napped for a while before dinner and now I haven't even lay my hands on my homework. I'm not going to be me this whole week I guess judging by how I feel now — distracted and restless and much too anticipating, after finally seeing those leaked pictures. I can't stop going 'holy shit' and when I see them it's like I see fire burning. Yes, it's driving me mad. Great, is it all coming back? I fervently hope not. Sigh. Goodnight!

The shrieking sound of the alarm clock next to my bed woke me up from my sleep. I tossed the warm quilt aside and fumbled on my feet as it touched the hard wooden floor. When I forced my eyes wide open, I was instantly blinded by the morning light that penetrated from the rusty window. It was day two in Kashmir. Not far away, I could hear the housekeeper preparing our breakfast in a small kitchen situated at the back of the houseboat we were currently staying at. Time to get ready and continue the leg of our tour, I told myself.

Shortly after the rest of our tour members and my family were ready, we gathered outside and took turns boarding the ‘shikaras’ that lined up in Dal Lake and crossed over to the mainland. I could see a row of jeeps parking along the roadside, standing by the side of the vehicles was its owner. Once again, local traders flocked over offering us to purchase some of their items, something very commonly seen here when you are in a tourist attraction spot. After listening to the briefing about our agenda by our tour guide, my family boarded the jeep. The two-hour journey to the mountains of Gulmarg began.

Although the sight of the snow mountain seemed to be near, it took us longer than ever to actually reach the point of our destination. The fierce honking and busy traffic conditions in India made the whole ride even more unbearable and my sister and I were always being impatient. However, that was all just the very beginning. After several twisting and turning along the narrow roads, we finally arrived at the foothills – made our way into the territories of a local village – just below the mountain range.

As I stepped out from the enclosed jeep, I could feel a cool breeze flowing and caressing my face. Despite wearing thick clothes with wrapped-around scarf and wool hand gloves, the cold weather of the spring season still managed to send chills running through my body. The ground was covered by layers of snow, dusted the top of roofs, and whitened the road. All the rain from midnight had frozen solid – coating the needles on the trees with fantastic, gorgeous patterns. The ground was so slippery that I had enough trouble not falling down, struggling to keep pace as the soles of my sneakers were all bald. Our tour guide, Michelle, told us that we have to rent a pair of boots each before going up the mountain top. I was glad because my shoes were giving me difficulties in walking. I entered a wooden house that was well-stocked with black rubber boots arranged on layers and layers of shelves. After putting them on, I thought we all looked like fishmongers in the market.

I swear I did not know that the journey all the way up the mountain resort was an entirely different matter, or so I could say. How on earth were we ever going to reach the top of a mountain? I’m definitely not prepared to hike! It was then when we were told that there will be buses responsible for transporting us. But guess what? The whole journey will consume more than another hour. At least it was still preferable than hiking on foot, I told myself solemnly. When the bus arrived, I was in shock. I was not the only exception, mind you. All the other members of our tour group were reluctant and not convinced judging by the conditions of the bus. We all knew that most of the buses available in India were vintage and old-fashioned but neither of us was prepared to accept the fact that we were actually going to ride in it. Shouldn’t there be any more decent buses for the sake of tourists? It turned out that the answer was no, at least not in that specific location.

The Hino bus was made out of rock-hard steel but somehow it looked like scrap metal to us. The paint of the bus was scrapped off in some parts and there was this ladder attached to the back of the bus — something which you can find in almost every single bus in India. The window grills were white in color, and the glass was those that functions by sliding it up and down. Once inside the bus, we found that it was not able to accommodate everyone. The seats of that bus was weirdly proportioned; instead of a two-sitter, it was a one and a half sitter. Hence, some people managed to sit very uncomfortably while it looks like the others will have to stand on their feet throughout the ride. The tan upholstered seats still smelled faintly of tobacco, gasoline and peppermint. To my relief, the engine started quickly but loudly, roaring to life and then idling at top volume. Well, a bus this old was bound to have a few flaws. The antique radio worked, but it was not like anyone of us understood the music plus the loud roar generated by the engine drown out any other sound.

I was a little unfortunate to have been split up from my family. My mom, dad and sister were sitting at the back of the bus while I sat at the very front, near the door of the bus together with an old lady. There was a man in a cap wearing clothes with tiny holes and patched up sewing. He stood there guarding the entrance. The ride up the mountain was dreading. Due to the slippery roads, it is necessary for the workers of the bus to put snow chains on the tires of the bus. There were thick chains crisscrossed in diamond shapes around them. Because of that, all the passengers in the bus could not sit still as they were bumping up and down along the journey. There were even some random local Indian men that hopped on and off the bus without warning, wanting to catch a free ride up the mountain – that was the purpose of having the ladder! It seemed like a daily routine for the people living in this country. On our way up the narrow road, we witnessed many vehicles that where stuck in heavy snow on the road. These local men and passers-by showed their generosity and togetherness by simply lending a helping hand to anyone in need.

There was nothing much to do except to marvel and gaze at the breathtaking scenery on our way up. Tall pine trees were grown in abundance. However, their leaves were all covered by thick snow that it appeared to be completely in white. The scents of the rich pine wood were refreshing and stimulating, piquing my interest and increasing my curiosity. The richness of deep earth dug up and exposed. I leaned toward the window and inhaled when I heard an odd sound.

It was high-pitched screech, and it was fast becoming painfully loud. I looked up, startled. I saw several things simultaneously. Nothing was moving in slow motion, the way it does in the movies. Instead, the adrenaline rush seemed to make my brain worked much faster, and I was able to absorb in clear detail several things at once.

The old lady sitting next to me was staring at me in horror. Her face stood out from a sea of faces in the bus, all frozen in the same mask of shock. But of more immediate importance was a dark red van that was skidding, tires locked and squealing against the brakes, spinning wildly across the lane and colliding into our bus. It was going to hit the front of the bus, and I was in it.
The van collided with the bus, the impact sending a thrust of momentum. There were hardly any serious external damages to the bus, instead the momentum that hit the bus we were in resulted in the bus moving backwards without control. And the worst thing was there was not a single road divider at sight. This is it, I thought. The bus was going to crash all the way down to the ravine and what happens next? “Get down, girl!” I heard my mom screamed from the back. I was facing a huge dilemma in following my mom’s words as the old lady next to me seemed to be in shock and I could not escape because she was blocking my way. It was chaos as some of the people tried to evacuate, some successfully managed to jump down from the entrance of the bus while it was still slowly gliding backwards. Every one of us screamed in alarm and I could hear many people shouting ‘stop!’ to the bus driver. However, the bus driver was as calm as the ocean and continued maneuvering the bus. His expression did not showed signs of anxiety and horror and shock like the rest of us. On the other hand, the few men that were catching a free ride and the door keeper jumped down and helped to bring the bus to a halt. All the king’s horses and all the king’s men…

Those few seconds felt like a lifetime as though as it was an eternity. Finally, I felt the bus came to a stop. It stopped. Hallelujah. I was one-hundred and ten percent sure I was not dreaming. It really did stop. I breathed a heavy sigh of relief. I was safe. My family was safe. Everybody was safe.

After everything was settled, we continued our journey all the way up to Mount Gulmarg. The meadows and mountains there were magical. We went skiing, rode the sledge and Gondola cable car in the slopes. My sister and I made a snowman and we were like ice angels lying on the snow that carpeted the valley. Everything else was forgotten and shoved aside when we were having fun.

That night, I reflected about what happened and all the things that we have gone through on that very day. A million of thoughts were running through my head. What were to happen if the bus really crashed into the ravine? Will I survive? What will I do without do my family? Was it really a miracle? Can I say it is a tragedy or perhaps a misfortune? Regardless, I think luck was really on our side. Otherwise, I shudder to imagine the images of the outcome. Whatever it was today, I’m truly grateful about the fact that we were perfectly safe. The experience I encountered was one that I will never forget. What an irony. All I can say is: Incredible India!

Just thought of sharing what I've written for my English composition in school. What do you think? The story was indeed true — dating back to the month of late January last year, and not something that was created out of imagination or whatsoever. At times, I think that even words couldn't put it into reality, as compared to experiencing it all by yourself.

First term is over! Finally the burden has subsided as if a portion of the weight of a rock has been shouldered by someone else... Frankly speaking, I'm mutual, as always. It just means that I can have more sleep from now onwards.

Right now, the world is in crisis. We all know that, don't we? But here's the thing. What can we do? What have we done? That made mother nature so sick, violent and right now fuming away, attacking us mercilessly with horrendous quakes and Tsunami. Sighs. Just pray that the situation won't get any worst.

Dear readers, I hereby apologize for the lack of updates. But still I appreciate everyone of you that actually take time reading whatever that I write or babble over here.

Some days, I'm just too busy that I don't have time to use the computer. For instance there was last week. It was one of the most tiring weeks of my life! But look, I'm not complaining. There was a public holiday on Tuesday in which I went to KPGA club and played tennis with Anjelee, excluding those school days and tuition, intense tennis training on Wednesday, I skipped school on Thursday and then jogged in the morning. Then came cross-country on Saturday plus attending a post-wedding dinner at Klang after that. Sunday after Aikido training, met up with Xinyi and MX to buy Vivian's present followed by a really nice dinner with Uncle Mark at Castel since he's going back to New Zealand already this Thursday. And I cannot wait until the time we will be going to NZ for vacation as well as meeting him in the December holidays after SPM.

Look, Roger is back! And here's him talking to the press in Dubai.

It doesn't mean that I've forgotten about him when I seldom blog about Roger or tennis nowadays. Never. There's always a person in your thought wherever you go and wherever you are, you know. This time of the year last year, I was at North India I remember. And there was this one night I remembered that my sister and I were watching Andy Murray playing at the Dubai Championships from the TV in the hotel room we were staying at Agra. This month of February last year, Roger had a lung infection that is why it's good to have him back at Dubai now :)

Maybe I'll update again after Vivian's party this Saturday. Exam is like what? On Friday the 4th! And being me, I haven't started a single shit. Literally, I'm not kidding. I totally forget about lenses in Physics let alone last year's Chemistry. It felt like I've learned nothing in my form 4 life seriously.

Finally here I am blogging. These days, it felt like almost nobody blogs anymore. Everyone's just too busy or lazy to conjure everything up into a post I guess.

I jogged 8 lapses this morning although I came home after 1am! And then came evening time, it seems like love is in the air. Valentine's Day is coming real soon, I know. But I'm not specifically referring to that.

I got a call from someone who was about 30 seconds away from appearing in front of my house. She was running under the rain (with an umbrella though) and claimed that romantic enough? Haha. Nice! The part that made me laughed the most was when I noticed she wore her pants the other way round when she was making an en-route back. Okay, I don't wanna say anymore. I'm not a bad person, you see? And one more thing - your sincerity was enough for you making up, "apologizing" after barging into the toilet!

Okay, enough with that. Now it's time for what I'm here for. It looks like I can never finish uploading photos from of trip.

I just think that the Chinese New Year holidays are way too short. Don't you think so? I definitely thought so. Although it is in fact a week off, but time flies. Maybe because of the time I spent in Kerala, I don't have much time being at home here. But somehow. I really do miss Kerala a lot. I wouldn't mind staying there long term. Although you don't have much entertainment and advanced technology there, but it's certainly preferable. Just the ease of the lifestyle and the surroundings and people. Everything seems new and exciting. And the seafood there, of course! Thumbs up. Most of all, I can get to see many white people everywhere on the streets. Call me weird? Nope.

Long story cut short. I feel like it's really messy now. I got plenty of photos to upload. And I mean more than 500. Yes, after filtering it. Is that even possible? Forget that, maybe I'll just upload bit by bit everyday... That will do. Time again, is the matter. Anyway, enjoy the pictures. I really appreciate you all telling me what do you think about them though. I feel like I'm blogging and narrating to the thin air... Don't know why; it just felt so.

Captain Carlos impressively landed the plane with the slightest touch on the tarmac as I glance at the numbers of my watch which reads 12.20am, and at the same time feeling the plane gliding smoothly in the grounds of KLIA, moving forward along the path to the terminal of LCC...

My story lies untold, in which I will continue writing in the upcoming post. This is just my pre-introduction post of my trip to Kerala. If you're wondering - yes - I just got home early this morning. When I finally took my step into my home and fumble my way up to my bedroom, I checked and switched on my phone. Greetings from my partner in crime which was sent about 2 hours ago. The instant I replied her message, I almost jump to my feet when my phone vibrated within that few seconds later. Hell, yea! She's still awake! And what was the time? It was past 2am. Sighs.

I'm not gonna say anymore further here now. Just a few snippets for your pleasure viewing. Hopefully I'll have the time to upload the rest of them as soon as possible. What with the Chinese New Year celebrations, I doubt I'm that free anyway. So all I can say is stay tuned for more updates.

I realized I haven't update anything about Australian Open and it's already the second week of the tournament so I ought to at least post up some interesting photos of some matches. Some, not all.

Time is always an issue. Always. Sighs, it's all right. I'm here just to upload those photos which were taken on the first day of 2011 since I got my CD today. Finally, yea. So I hope you guys enjoy the pictures and comment? Right.

BTW, it was to celebrate my sister's birthday, also a get-together.

So basically my 2nd aunt and my dear, dear uncle prepared most of the food.
But I think I didn't manage to quite take pics of every single dish.

Too much to apologize for not really keeping my blog in track. I promise to update something more sound once I got my CD of photos this week. Nothing happened much besides the hectic school life and oh, I'm adding another weekly routine for now - that is jogging. For numeral reasons. And I had fun on Saturday with my partner in crime.

Oh, I'm getting a new lens! 90% sure my dad is getting me one, probably secondhand Nikon 18-105mm VR lens and that makes me so happy. Because it means my photos will turn out very much better than the current ones of mine :)

I'm rushing this post because it's 11.35pm now and I gotta hit the sack already. Australian Open starts tomorrow! How nice, it's gonna be another fantastic 2 weeks for me. Then I'm off to Kerala and back for CNY festival. Then I'm going to New Zealand once SPM is over. Really looking forward to what's coming next but there's just one hurdle for now; one that we all gotta nail it.

Has anyone seen this anywhere here yet?
I probably will get it if it's available and within the range of RM30.

I'm here to update about something merely more interesting rather than the first week of school, the scene of the mundane classroom and stuff... so yea ;) I have been so busy and tired during the first week itself let lone using the comp so I barely touched it. And I survived perfectly fine. Much better and healthier too. Just spent some free time reading Richelle Mead's last Vampire Academy series — Last Sacrifice — and it's awesome.

Okay, so here is the thing:

Kstew at the recent PCA on January 5th 2011.
She's wearing a Reem Acra 2011 RTW pearlized sequin blush chiffon dress, though I prefer the D&G dress she wore to last year's MTV Movie Awards.
Those shoes are another killer and I love it!
They are Jimmy Choo's Vita Platform from his SS 2011 CHOO 24:7 collection.
And together with a Chanel 18K while gold Camélia bracelet with diamonds (and onyx).

And here are a very few out of the several photos available.
Robsten were so adorable and happy together.
There was one picture where he was staring or more of gazing at her with those warm eyes when she was onstage receiving her award!
And that picture just told me again that he was hell maddeningly in love with her.
I don't know he realized about that himself or not, but yea I think we all do...

And here is another extraordinary one... Roger and Rafa playing on water to kick start the season in Doha. Seriously, the ATP is so creative! Last year's flying carpet wasn't grandiose enough to them maybe, so thought of coming up with 'Rolled Ankle'?! Then imagine a big wave sweeping them both into the Indian Ocean. A shark attacking, with Rafa rescuing Roger with a big forehand to the shark’s nose. Then I told myself to chill out and just watch the video:

He hit another tweener in Doha Championships this week and it was a killer, totally!
Look how awe-struck was the crowd and how Roger smiled.
They (and the opponent) had to wait for about a minute or so to let the crowd calm down and stop applauding.
And Roger just kept smiling, trying to compose himself while waiting for Thomas' serve.
LOL.
It's definitely a very enjoyable video.

Anyways, Aussie Open is coming really soon on the 17th of January, so about a week plus or so more... I'm so excited to watch another Grand Slam event but sadly it clashes a little. I will be off to Kerala and Kochi on 26th Jan for a pre CNY getaway so I'll miss a few matches and 3 days of school D: Decided to go there for no significant reason, like I'd say — just a getaway sort of thing. Sprawling and walking on the soft-sand beach, staying in a nice villa, enjoying Ayurvedic message, scrumptious food, sight-seeing and recalling some History, snapping photographs and etc... Gonna be back just right before the reunion dinner.

Well, I hope everyone's doing fine. For me, the first week of school wasn't bad. I just felt like I'm so short of time and couldn't spend much moments with the buddies. But that time will come sooner or later. I need to stay focused throughout the whole year for now.

First of all, happy new year to ya'll and um, welcome back to school... I know I'm a bit too late for that but still. Cut the crap out, anyways... New year also indirectly means new resolution(s). And as for me, I really hope that I will be able to do what I'd promised myself.

After rumors hit the web that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart had gotten into a fight over Kristen spending Christmas Eve with her "On The Road" co-star Garrett Hedlund, the pair were spotted walking the beautiful London island together on New Year's Eve.

According to ShowBiz Spy, Rob and Kristen walked freely around the Isle of Wight, and loved the fact that not too many fans confronted them. However, one fan did stop the "Twilight" actors to ask for a photo. “My friend went up and spoke to Kristen who seemed shocked,” said the fan.

It's nice that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart can get away to a place where they don't draw a lot of attention to themselves. It's so obvious that the two hate being stalked by the paparazzi on a daily basis.

Pattinson has previously said that one of the best things about going home to London is that the media and fans aren't as enthusiastic about grabbing a celebrity as they are in the states. Looks like Rob and Kristen had an amazing and quiet New Year's Eve together.

Fine! I almost decided not to update today but then oh wells... I'd already upload all the photos from the photo shoot to Facebook. Um, not literally all, there are still some indoor informal pictures I did not upload; I'll save those for my blog here some day later. Which means, it's going to be next year — 2011. I think you all know that FB seriously downgrade the quality of photos so I thought I ought to maybe post some here? I don't know... At the same time, I'm waiting for a few photos which Barnett wanted and will edit for me. I'll make sure to post them up after I got the edited version of his :D

By the way, I'm actually here to say that Natalie Portman finally got engaged and pregnant! I just read the email from MTV and I was like what?! I just watched Black Swan last night and then today I read such a news! Anyway, I really recommend this great movie in which Natalie acted in it as a ballerina dancer. Go torrent it and watch! It's a little creepy to me, but otherwise it's really amazing and different. She's so vulnerable in that movie and I like it. If you want more info and trivia about it, feel free to read Mei-Xuan's blog! When will we say goodbye to Kstew, huh? Well, I'm not saying goodbye! What about you? Haha.

Tomorrow will be my class party over at Miss Choo's place so right, of course I'm looking forward to it :) And again, hopefully I'll come home with great pictures and memories with my classmates. I'm not sure what is the plan for Friday yet but Saturday will be a family gathering dinner celebrating New Year and my sis' birthday and that means more great photos to come!

Oh, right. Another thing... You noticed that I changed my blog header again, right? I'm still looking for new photos of my favorite models (Freja & Abbey most of the time) like the previous ones so once I found some pretty shots I will change it again :)

I was gone since 9.30am and only came back 5pm this afternoon. The weather was lovely today, I can say. With the sunlight that was not scorching, it was perfect for our photo shoot. I don't have time to upload all the pictures that we took today after having need to settle the pile of ironing and house chores, so that will probably be up maybe tomorrow? But in the mean time, I'll give you guys one or two snippets or so. I'm dead tired on my feet now, so I'm off to bed early today.
